All over the world, mobile IT equipment such as tablets and laptops are supplied with commercially available desktop power supplies that withstand much worse environmental conditions than the central IT equipment. With the AC adapter models ACS90 and ACS150, roda pushes open a door to a new dimension in the rugged world. Water- and sand-protected, shockproof, drop- and EMC-protected, the AC adapter can also be used at the temperatures designated for IT equipment.
Despite the aluminium housing, EMC filter boards and reinforced cable sheath, the full-rugged ACS150 is only 50 % heavier and approx. 25 % larger in volume than a commercially available power supply unit of the same performance class (comparison with the standard power supply unit roda Lizard® RW14 or RB14).
